C. Elisabeth Wooden

Owner/artist, Elisabeth Wooden-"Living in Vermont I find a never-ending source of inspiration".  While attending TSTI, majoring in Graphic Art, Ms. Wooden launched her art world career, as a Graphic Artist in the music & entertainment industry throughout the southwest & then free lanced in New England, painting also by commission.  In 2000, Elisabeth opened Vermont Fine Art Gallery,  painting primarily Vermont landscapes in acrylic.  Ms. Wooden has been spotlighted in Southwest Art Magazine & an interviewed gallery owner in American Art Collector Magazine.  She has been featured in shows, a solo exhibition at St Paul's Cathedral, the Helen Day Art Center's For Arts Sake & Art Expo NY.  Her paintings are part of public & private collections nationally. 

Paul Stone

Paul Stone

Artist, Paul Stone, grew up in Vermont & took degrees from Dartmouth & Tufts before settling back in Guilford to raise his family.  His formal education behind him, Paul began seriously to produce & market his watercolors in the early 1970s. Working extensively from pencil sketchesduring weekend jaunts through the back roads of Southern Vermont, these watercolors have found appeal in exhibitions & now reside in private and corporate collections in North & South America, Europe& Asia.   Through the 1980s, Paul produced landscapes prolifically, developing his mastery of sunlight & flora.  Stone's oils are often distinguished by a daring implementation of color, placing the viewer within the surreal.   The heart of Stone's work remains the landscape, both pastoral & marine, complimented by the architectural forms of the New England farm.  Paul has been juried into the Stratton Mountain Art Festival & the Impressions of New England Show.  He has had considerable success in galleries throughout New England.  Stone is part of several corporate collections in which his work hangs, including resorts nationally. 

Jane Ashley

Jane Ashley

Jane Ashley, daughter of artist and author, Clifford W. Ashley, paints the Vermont landscape with a soft poetic and atmospheric style. “With each painting my hope is to capture the varying effects that shifting light and changing seasons have on natural forms, colors and textures.” says Ashley of her work.  Jane R. Ashley, daughter of marine artist and author, Clifford W. Ashley, spent her early childhood in Delaware, before moving to Massachusetts. She attended RISD, graduated from the Swain School of Design and received a BFA with High Honors from the California College of Arts & Crafts. She was a finalist at the 1986 Annual Awards Competition sponsored by the Since 1961 she has made her home in & painted the rural landscapes of the Vermont countryside.  Jane has participated in exhibitions & solo shows, including museums & galleries throughout New England. 

Tom Nicholas N.A.

Tom Nicholas N.A.

Nationally recognized award winning artist, Tom Nicholas N.A. paints Vermont.   He was elected an Associate of the National Academy of Design in 1963 and then full Academician in 1970.  A bibliography of critical studies of Nicholas's work includes articles in Southwest Art magazine, American Artist magazine and Today's Art.  Mr. Nicholas has exhibited in galleries & shows throughout the country, including the Springfield Art Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.  His work forms part of many public and private collections, including the Albert Dorne Collection and the Butler Institute of American Art. 

Frank Califano

Frank Califano

Vermont bronze sculptor, Frank Califano, exhibits up and down the east coast and is in corporate and private collections both in the United States and internationally.  Mr. Califano received his formal training in graphic art and illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.  Frank specializes in equestrian themes with cast bronze.  Frank exhibits in galleries nationally, enjoys an international clientele and his work is part of corporate collections including the "Lands End" Corp. collection.

Hunter Eddy & Evelyn McFarlane

Vermont Fine Art Gallery introduces, Florence Academy trained Vermont artist, Hunter Eddy.  Hunter was born in 1967 & grew up in Rutland Vermont. He decided to pursue a career in art after years of drawing in his childhood. He attended the Art Institute of Boston & graduated with the honor of an “Excellence in Illustration” award from the College. He spent time in Italy studying landscape painting & drawing with the Boston Visual School under the direction of painters John Lanza & George Gabin. He then made his decision to undertake fulltime study at The Florence Academy of Art under the direction of Daniel Graves. After the first year he was made an assistant teacher in the program & has been with the academy ever since. He has taught the advanced painting & drawing courses, & is currently co-Director of the painting program.  His work has been exhibited & sold at various shows & galleries internationally including: Hirschl and Adler Gallery, NY; Gallery Americana, Carmel, CA; W. H. Patterson LTD, London, England.

Gary Eckhart

Nationally exhibited award winning Vermont watercolorist Gary Eckhart. Gary's handling of water and perfection of detail make him one of the more collected artists in the gallery.  He has also competed and won awards in national shows including, the American Watercolor Society, Adirondack Naitonal Exhibit of America, National Red River Watercolor Society Juried Show, as well as The Governor's Exhibit in Vermont.  Many of Gary's pieces are also available as signed & numbered giclee prints. 

Carrie Bagalio

Carrie Bagalio

Realistic & cutting edge this Vermont artist is new to the gallery.  Carrie became an oil painter attending college in her home state of Vermont.  After receiving an art scholarship, she studied at Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT and Studio Arts Center in Florence. In 2004 she graduated with a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts. Carrie's images come from people in everyday life, focusing on pop culture in small towns. She paints using brilliant colors & energetic patterns to express a positive visual statement, drawing attention to the seemingly insignificant moments everyone experiences that make life beautiful, uplifting & significant.  Carrie's work has been exhibited in businesses, galleries, & participated in juried shows throughout the east coast, including the Charleston Artist Guild & Chaffee Art Center. Her work has been featured on festival posters, received honorable mentions, been displayed in multiple art walks in various cities, and been represented by galleries in Vermont, Connecticut & South Carolina. 

Robert Carsten

Robert Carsten

Robert Carsten studied at the Art Students League of New York before graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design. In 1981 he was awarded a Rotary Technical Fellowship to study and work in Florence and Carrara, Italy. Robert is now active as an arts educator in workshops and classrooms including the Governor’s Institute of the Arts.   Robert has shown his work in galleries and museums nationally. Awards and honors include “Signature” membership in the Pastel Society of America (PSA), “Copley Artist” member of the Copley Society of Boston, selection as a finalist in the Pastel Journal’s “Pastel 100” national competition, Academic Artists Award in Pastel, First Prize at the Miller Art Center’s first annual juried exhibition and the New England Heritage Award among many others.

Bob Aiken

Sixth generation Vermonter & artist, Bob Aiken's original acrylic landscapes are created with a palette knife & his close encounters with nature. Bob has done illustrations for many college and athletic publications for Cornell University, The Eastern College Athletic Conference, the University of Vermont, Brown University, the University of Pennsylvania and Yale among others.  Over 350 of Bob's pen & Ink drawings of the members of the Athletic Hall of Fame are hanging in the Schoelkopf Field House at Cornell.   Most recently Bob was commissioned to paint a work for Dartmouth.  He can often be found in Stowe hiking and cross country skiing at the Trapps, where his work is part of the permanent collection in the lodge & the countryside serves as inspiration for his artwork.

Lisa Angell

Lisa Angell

Award-winning Vermont artist, Lisa Angell, creates beautiful regional landscapes in oil pastel.  Vermont artist, Lisa Angell, is no stranger to the natural world, painting landscapes throughout Europe, North America, Africa and of course her home state, Vermont. Lisa has a BFA from the University of Dallas, Irving, Tx and has also studied in Rome, Italy. She has attended master workshops with nationally recognized artist Wolf Kahn.  Lisa works mostly in oil pastel, a very challenging medium. Lisa captures brilliant color and fine delicate detail in her landscapes. Working mostly on site Lisa is able to render the varying degrees of light and color. “I love visiting familiar places and recording the changes that each month brings to the landscape. True love of the land involves studying nature’s moods.  Ms. Angell has exhibited nationally and across the borders internationally in Canada. Her work is included in private and corporate collections around the country. 

Peter A. Miller

Peter A. Miller's images "en plein air" from Vermont & around the world including Vermont landscapes, figurative and stillife.  Mr. Miller began his studies at the Art Student's League in New York City.  Peter has studied with such greats as Dan Greene and Carroll Jones & painted with recognized artists such as C.W. Mundy and Robert Gruppe.  His work has been juried into national shows including the Oil Painters of America. 

Skye Forest

Award-winning Vermont pastel artist Skye Forest's ethereal landscapes.  She has a BA in Art Education from Old Dominion University and an MA from Johnson State College.  Skye has won awards both regionally & internationally. has exhibited extensively around the state. She has been published internationally in L’Art du Pastel. & been juried into international shows including the International Association of Pastel Societies in Europe.

Sheel Gardner Anand

Sheel Gardner Anand

Sheel Anand started his artistic endeavor at the tender age of 7, his formal education culminating with a BFA from UVM.  He acquired his realistic style while being mentored by the acclaimed artist Carroll Jones Jr.  He has been featured in one man exhibitions at the State House in Montpelier, The Fisk Farm in Isle La Motte & galleries around Vermont. Sheels’ work has been in Vermont Life & Vermont Quarterly Magazine as well as the Robb Report. Another work was part of the Lake Champlain Rediscovered Exhibit with venues including the National Arts Club in New York City & The Boston Public Library.  His images can be seen in Chittenden Bank locations, Merrill Lynch & UVM. There are collectors of Sheel’s prints & original work all over the globe.  By maintaining an expressive high realism style, Sheel's work aims at creating visual portrayals that are beyond the limitations of photographs.  Most of his original artwork is by commission.  Commissioning a painting of your favorite  place & memory will engage the eye, the mind & the heart for years to come; for you, your family, & friends. 

Peter Barnett

Peter Barnett

Visiting New England artist Peter Barnett paints impressionist oils of the Vermont countryside. A New England native, Peter comes to Vermont, stays at the famous Trapp Lodge timeshares and paints beautiful winter scenes of the area. He studied art at Amherst College, as well as Rome, Italy. Peter taught art history at Clark University and Earlham College in the 1970’s while pursuing his own career as an artist. The essence of Peter’s landscapes, especially his winter scenes, is captured through painting plein air or on site. He is able to capture dramatic skies and light by painting outdoors.  Peter’s paintings are exhibited throughout New England and part of private collections around the country.
Tim Fitzgerald

Featuring relief sculptor and Vermont artist and local doctor, Tim Fitzgerald.  Tim graduated from the University of New Hampshire where his primary focus was on a science based education in preparation for his future medical career. However a chance exposure to the visual arts in an introductory drawing class, unlocked a previously unrecognized passion that would soon become a central focus on his life and work. Tim‘s focus is on portrait and figurative work which he either paints or creates in bas-relief sculpture which are created through a cold cast technique

Jeff Clarke

Jeff Clarke

Jeff Clarke grew up in Brockport NY, and later attended college at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with a major in underwater photography. He graduated in 1976, and worked for his hometown newspaper, while doing freelance work on the side. In 1978 he returned to college at S.U.N.Y in Plattsburg NY. There he completed a degree in Environmental Science. After graduation he was awarded a position with the National Science Foundation, producing slide shows about research in the institute of Ecology at the University of Georgia, Athens. In 1985, He decided to relocate to Vermont, a place where he says “I found most suited to my love of nature”. Clarke’s work has been published in: Adirondack Life, Vermont Life, Vermont Magazine, Business People, N.E. Snowboard, Outdoor, Sports Illustrated, Navigation, Colonial Homes, American Heritage, Vogue, American Fitness, & Time, among others. Allen Dwight

Allen Dwight

Nationally exhibited Vermont sculptor, Allen Dwight's abstract marble sculptures are both organic and elegant.  Most of his work is sculpted from Vermont marble, white & gray and then black from the Lake Champlain area.  Mr. Dwight attended the Sir John Cass School of Art in London, England and majored in studio art at the University of Vermont in Burlington.
